Crypto KOL rates in 2026

A single sponsored post from a crypto account with 50,000 to 150,000 followers on X typically costs $300 to $1,200, and a dedicated YouTube review from a channel with 200,000 subscribers typically costs $8,000 to $25,000. Rates move with the market and with how much risk the KOL is taking, so everything below is a typical range rather than a fixed price. The tables cover X, YouTube, Telegram, TikTok and Spaces, followed by what actually moves the number and how to negotiate it down.

All prices in this guide are illustrative sample ranges, not quotes. They move with the market and with the individual account.

How crypto KOL pricing works

Almost all crypto KOLs price per deliverable rather than per impression. You are buying one post, one thread or one video, not a guaranteed number of views. A few large accounts will quote a CPM, and some agencies sell packages priced on combined reach, but per-post pricing is the norm and it is the format you should ask for, because it is the only one you can hold someone to.

Two things make crypto rates different from normal influencer rates. First, the risk premium. A KOL who posts a contract address is exposing their audience to something that might go to zero, and they price that in. Second, the market cycle. Rates in a strong market are routinely two to three times what the same account charged in a quiet one, and they fall fast when volume dries up. The ranges below reflect a normal, mid-cycle market.

X post and thread rates by follower tier

X is where most crypto budgets go. A thread costs roughly two to three times a single post because it takes real work and stays visible longer.

FollowersSingle postThreadQuote post or retweet
10,000 to 50,000$100 to $400$250 to $800$50 to $200
50,000 to 150,000$300 to $1,200$800 to $2,500$150 to $600
150,000 to 500,000$1,000 to $4,000$2,500 to $8,000$500 to $1,500
500,000 to 1,000,000$3,000 to $10,000$6,000 to $20,000$1,200 to $4,000
1,000,000 and above$8,000 to $30,000$15,000 to $50,000$3,000 to $10,000

Follower count is the worst predictor of value in this table. An account with 60,000 real traders following it will outperform one with 400,000 farmed followers, and it will cost a tenth as much. Run every candidate through the checks in how to vet crypto KOLs before you agree to any of these numbers.

YouTube rates: dedicated videos versus integrations

A dedicated video is entirely about your project. An integration is a 60 to 120 second segment inside a video about something else. Dedicated videos cost roughly two to three times an integration and convert better, but they also look more obviously paid.

SubscribersIntegrated segmentDedicated videoShort
10,000 to 50,000$500 to $1,500$1,000 to $3,000$200 to $700
50,000 to 200,000$1,500 to $5,000$3,000 to $10,000$500 to $2,000
200,000 to 500,000$4,000 to $10,000$8,000 to $25,000$1,500 to $4,000
500,000 to 1,000,000$8,000 to $20,000$15,000 to $40,000$3,000 to $8,000
1,000,000 and above$15,000 to $40,000$30,000 to $100,000$6,000 to $20,000

Price YouTube on average views over the last ten videos, not on subscribers. Channels that grew in 2021 often have 400,000 subscribers and 15,000 views per video, and the rate card usually has not been updated. Ask for a screen recording of the analytics page showing the last 28 days.

Telegram channel post rates

Telegram is the cheapest reach per member and the hardest to verify. Member counts are trivially inflated, and a large share of call channels are recycled. Pay for a pinned post with a stated duration, normally 12 or 24 hours, and ask for the view counter screenshot afterwards.

MembersPinned post, 24 hoursPost without pinCommunity AMA
5,000 to 25,000$100 to $500$50 to $250$300 to $800
25,000 to 100,000$400 to $1,500$200 to $800$600 to $2,000
100,000 to 500,000$1,200 to $5,000$700 to $2,500$1,500 to $5,000
500,000 and above$4,000 to $15,000$2,000 to $7,000$4,000 to $12,000

TikTok rates

TikTok reaches people who are not on crypto X yet, which is useful for consumer apps and terrible for anything technical. Moderation of financial content is aggressive, so build a takedown clause into the contract and expect a share of videos to be removed.

FollowersSingle videoVideo plus 7 day pin
10,000 to 100,000$150 to $800$300 to $1,200
100,000 to 500,000$600 to $2,500$1,000 to $4,000
500,000 to 1,000,000$2,000 to $6,000$3,000 to $9,000
1,000,000 and above$5,000 to $20,000$8,000 to $30,000

Spaces and AMA hosting rates

A Space is priced on the host, not on your audience. A mid-tier host brings their own listeners and their own co-hosts, which is what you are paying for.

FormatTypical range
Guest appearance on someone else's Space$500 to $3,000
Hosted Space with a mid-tier host$1,500 to $6,000
Hosted Space with a large host and 5 or more co-hosts$8,000 to $30,000
Telegram AMA in an established community$300 to $2,000
AMA with a prize pool paid to the communityFee plus $200 to $2,000 in rewards

Details on running these well are in the guide to Twitter Spaces and AMAs.

Regional differences

The same follower count costs very different amounts depending on the language the account posts in.

RegionRate versus English tier oneNotes
United States and Western EuropeBaselineHighest rates, strictest disclosure rules
Korea and JapanSimilar or higherSmall pool of credible accounts, high spend per user
Chinese languageSimilarPriced high, often sold through a small number of brokers
Turkey and Brazil40% to 70% cheaperStrong engagement, large retail base
Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines50% to 80% cheaperCheap reach, low average ticket size per buyer
India60% to 85% cheaperVery cheap, weakest conversion to actual buyers

If you are planning regional coverage, read the guide to Asian crypto KOLs before you book, because the buying process is different in each market.

What moves the price

These are the factors that actually change a quote, roughly in order of how much they move it.

  • Ticker and contract address. Asking a KOL to post a contract address usually adds 30% to 100% to the rate. Asking them to say they bought it adds more.
  • Market conditions. Rates in a strong market run two to three times quiet market rates. Booking in a drawdown is the single biggest discount available.
  • Exclusivity. A promise not to promote a competitor for 30 days typically adds 20% to 50%.
  • Permanence. A post that must stay up forever costs more than a 24 or 48 hour post. Agree this in writing.
  • Urgency. Booking inside seven days of a launch adds a rush premium of around 25%.
  • Who you are. A funded project with a known investor pays less than an anonymous team, because the KOL is taking less reputational risk.
  • Agency markup. Agencies and KOL managers typically add 15% to 30% on top of the talent fee. That is normal, and it usually pays for itself in vetting and in not being scammed.

How to negotiate

Do these things in order. They work.

  1. Ask for the media kit and for a screen recording of the native analytics, not a static screenshot. Screenshots are edited constantly.
  2. Ask for results from their last three paid posts. Anyone who refuses is hiding something and should be cut.
  3. Bundle. Booking three posts over a month rather than one usually gets 20% to 30% off the single-post rate.
  4. Offer a fixed date rather than a flexible one. Some KOLs discount for filling a slow week.
  5. Pay half upfront and half on delivery. Never pay everything upfront, and never pay before the contract is signed.
  6. Pay in stablecoins if they ask, and confirm the address over two channels. Address swapping is a common scam in this market.
  7. Offer a performance bonus for clicks or verified buys rather than raising the base fee. Good accounts take it and weak ones refuse.
  8. Be willing to walk away. There are always more accounts. The one who will not move on price is not the one who will move your numbers.

To model a whole campaign rather than single posts, use the KOL budget planner, and see how to set a KOL marketing budget for how to split money across tiers. Get the payment and deletion terms right using KOL contract terms.

Questions

How much does a crypto KOL charge for one X post?

A typical account with 50,000 to 150,000 followers charges $300 to $1,200 for a single post. Accounts above 500,000 followers usually charge $3,000 to $10,000, and threads cost two to three times the single post rate.

How much does a dedicated crypto YouTube video cost?

A channel with 50,000 to 200,000 subscribers typically charges $3,000 to $10,000 for a dedicated video. Above 1 million subscribers the typical range is $30,000 to $100,000.

Are Asian crypto KOLs cheaper?

Southeast Asian KOLs in Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines usually cost 50% to 80% less than English tier one accounts with the same follower count. Korean and Japanese accounts often cost the same or more because there are far fewer credible ones.

Why do crypto KOL rates change so much?

The biggest drivers are the market cycle, which can move rates by two to three times, and whether the post includes a ticker or contract address, which usually adds 30% to 100% to the fee.

Should I pay a KOL in tokens?

Only for smaller accounts, and only with a vesting schedule. Paying in tokens gives the KOL a reason to sell into your own launch, so pay cash for the large bookings where that matters most.

What is a normal agency markup on KOL rates?

Agencies and KOL managers typically add 15% to 30% on top of the talent fee. That covers vetting, contracting and escrow, which is usually cheaper than getting scammed once.
